Homeowner Helper Terms of Service and Payment Policy

Welcome to Homeowner Helper (“Homeowner Helper,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service and Payment Policy (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, marketplace platform, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By accessing or using the Platform, including submitting a request, creating an account, or purchasing a Lead, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

  1. About Homeowner Helper

Homeowner Helper operates an online platform designed to help connect homeowners submitting home service requests with independent contractors who may review, purchase, and respond to those requests (“Leads”).

Homeowner Helper does not perform home improvement, repair, or contractor services. Contractors using the Platform are independent businesses and are solely responsible for the services they provide.

  1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. You agree that all information you submit through the Platform is accurate, current, and complete, and that you will use the Platform only for lawful purposes.

  1. Homeowner Requests

By submitting a request through the Platform, homeowners understand and agree that:

  • Request details may be shared with contractors for the purpose of reviewing or purchasing the Lead

  • Contractors may contact you by phone call, text message, or email regarding your request

  • Homeowner Helper does not guarantee contractor responses, pricing, availability, scheduling, or completed work

Submitting a request does not create a contract between the homeowner and Homeowner Helper for home services, nor does it guarantee that any contractor will respond or accept the project.

  1. Contractor Accounts and Responsibilities

Contractors may register for access to the Platform. Approval may be required, and access may be suspended or terminated at our discretion.

Contractors agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current business information

  • Use homeowner information solely to respond to submitted requests

  • Not resell, distribute, or misuse Lead data

  • Comply with all applicable laws, licensing requirements, and communication regulations

Contractors are solely responsible for their own business practices, licensing, insurance, services, and communications with homeowners.

  1. Leads, Purchases, and Delivery

A Lead typically includes homeowner-submitted contact details and project information.

Leads are digital products. Upon successful payment authorization, the purchased Lead is delivered immediately and made accessible within the contractor’s account.

Purchasing a Lead provides access to homeowner information only. It does not guarantee homeowner response, project award, revenue, closed business, or any other specific outcome.

  1. Pricing and Payment Authorization

Lead pricing is displayed at checkout and may vary based on location, project type, demand, market conditions, or other factors.

By completing a purchase, you authorize Homeowner Helper and its third-party payment processor to charge your selected payment method for the full amount displayed at checkout.

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current billing information and to promptly update any changes.

If payment authorization fails, is declined, reversed, or later disputed, Homeowner Helper may revoke access to the Lead and suspend or restrict your account until payment is successfully resolved.

Payment methods may be securely stored by third-party providers to facilitate future Lead purchases.

  1. No Refunds

Because Leads are digital products delivered immediately upon successful payment authorization, all purchases are final and non-refundable.

Leads will not be refunded due to normal business outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • Unresponsive homeowners

  • Pricing disagreements

  • Homeowners selecting another contractor

  • Projects that do not move forward

  • Lack of conversion or revenue

  1. Lead Credit Policy

While refunds are not provided, Homeowner Helper may, in its sole discretion, issue account credits in limited circumstances.

A contractor may request a review within five (5) days of purchase if a Lead:

  • Contains clearly invalid contact information

  • Is a confirmed duplicate purchase

  • Results from a verified technical error attributable to the Platform

If approved, a credit will be applied to the contractor’s account for future Lead purchases. Credits:

  • Have no cash value

  • Are non-transferable

  • Expire ninety (90) days after issuance

All credit decisions are made at the sole discretion of Homeowner Helper.

  1. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you believe a charge was made in error, you must contact us before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.

By purchasing a Lead, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Leads are delivered immediately upon successful payment authorization

  • Leads are non-refundable digital products

  • You are purchasing access to information, not a guaranteed job

If a chargeback, reversal, or payment dispute is initiated, Homeowner Helper reserves the right to:

  • Contest the dispute

  • Immediately suspend or terminate your account

  • Revoke access to previously delivered Leads

  • Recover any associated fees, costs, or losses incurred

Improper or abusive disputes may result in permanent removal from the Platform.

  1. Unpurchased Leads

If a Lead is not purchased within a designated timeframe, Homeowner Helper may notify the homeowner with updates or next-step information.

  1. Prohibited Uses

Users may not:

  • Send spam, harassment, or unlawful communications

  • Use Platform data for unrelated marketing, solicitation, or resale

  • Attempt to bypass Platform rules or security measures

  • Copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or otherwise misuse any portion of the Platform
